The purpose of the Community Student Program is to offer a Christ-centered community for students enrolled in other university or college programs. In other words, students can attend university classes online (or at a nearby institution) all while living on the CLBI campus and being involved in the community.

WHAT IT PROVIDES

The Community Student Program provides students (and parents) with what we believe to be one of the most important aspects of the post-secondary experience: reliable, affordable, and overall beneficial student housing. The beauty of this program is that we get to emphasize one of the best parts of CLBI: the community.

We desire to make it as manageable as possible for CSP students to join the program. Prices listed above include Room & Board for the year, as well as other program elements described above. Upon acceptance into the Community Student Program, it is required that each student provide us with a $250 Damage Deposit.  This amount can be paid over Paypal, E-Transfer, or by mail-in cheque to CLBI.

Any student enrolled in a university/college program outside of CLBI (either online or at Augustana U of A Campus).

Pretty much everything outside of the classroom, which includes: Discipleship Groups (D Groups), one-on-ones, chapels & worship times, off-campus retreats, special events, and general dorm & community life. You would also be a part of all other standard aspects of living in community, including: meal times and work duties. (CLBI Classes & Out-Trips also available at additional cost)

Simply put, you will be an important part of our community and people will care about you. Our campus is an environment that not only contributes and cares for your social and personal life, but your spiritual life as well. 

It is true that the online school experience can be convenient, but it can also become quite isolating and even lonely for many people. The main objective of CSP is connection and discipleship with Christ and other believers. Since we were designed to live in relationship with others (Gen 1:26-27), this program offers precisely that, including both staff and students. It is also common for our students to make deep and life-long friendships while attending CLBI.
