Course Title
The Book of Genesis
BIS 111.1/211.1

Course Description
For our second Open Class of the year, Pastor Dave Wollan will lead students through significant passages in Genesis. Genesis is the first book of the Bible and was written for the people of Israel who were led out of slavery in Egypt and back into the land of their forefathers (promised land). Through Genesis we find the the creation story, the Israelites’ records of their journeys, as well as their covenants with God, and His interaction with His people.

Instructor

Pastor Dave has served at Faith Lutheran in Hutchinson, MN. since 2001. He met his wife at LBI in Seattle back in the late 90s, and now has four kids ranging between 16-26 years old. He loves movies, good spy novels, the MN Vikings, the MN Timberwolves, and coffee. As an LBI alumnus himself, Dave is very excited to teach at and experience CLBI! He prays that as we journey through the very first book of the Bible, we will gain a better understanding and appreciation for our not only our origin story, but more importantly, the loving God behind it. So buckle up as we go back to the beginning of it all! Along with CLBI and other partner ministries, Faith Lutheran is part of the Greenhouse Collective.
