Who We Are
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to train followers of Christ to become servant leaders. We long to see students know God more intimately, love Him more deeply, and serve Him more faithfully. We are a discipleship school dedicated to developing Christ’s followers. We are a small Bible school, with a program uniquely designed to stretch students and to help them encounter God in new and deeper ways and discover who He has created them to be. Through a combination Bible teaching, adventure, mentorship, service, and community, students are encouraged to get real, go deep, and grow in their faith. We know God will meet you here.
OUR CAMPUS
CLBI is located in Central Alberta in the scenic city of Camrose. The campus occupies half a city block just off the parkland shores of beautiful Mirror Lake, and is only three blocks from the downtown area. The city of Camrose, with a population of approximately 15,000, features many cultural and sports events and has several modern recreational facilities. These include an aquatic center, field house/indoor soccer facility, cross country ski trails, a luge run, over 25km of beautiful hiking trails, gyms, ice rinks, etc. Travelling distance to Edmonton International Airport is just under one hour by vehicle. Bus travel directly to Camrose is possible twice a day. There are excellent highway connections in all directions. Major cities and other key locations within a few hours travel time include Edmonton, Calgary, Banff, and Jasper. Camrose’s close proximity to areas for hiking, skiing, canoeing, and other outdoor experiences afford students the opportunity to take part in several unique outdoor events throughout the year. The outdoor education program at CLBI is blessed to have these diverse possibilities readily available.
OUR PROGRAM
We offer four programs: Discover, Engage, Catalyst, and Impact. Most of our courses are offered as week-long intensives called modules, a format which allows us to bring in quality instructors from around the world to teach in their specific areas of interest and expertise. Among the wide range of courses we offer are ones such as: Personal Worship and Prayer, Galatians– Living Free in Christ, The Life of David, Introduction to World Missions, Ethics in the Light of Scripture, and Foundations of Faith. Along with traditional classroom learning, students also engage in valuable learning through the non-traditional classroom. Our non-traditional classrooms include the outdoors, inner city, local community, and worship team experiences in churches.
Following the completion of our programs, students have options to continue on and complete an Internship, and go on to pursue a Bachelor’s degree. (Click HERE for more information.)
